3、ryandapplicationofnumericalmethodsforFDEs.Inrecent30years,thetheoryofcomputationalmethodsforFDEshasbeenwidelydiscussedbymanyauthorsandagreatdealofresultshavebeenfound.Functionaldifferentialandfunctionalequations(FDFEs)areaclassofhybridsystemsthataremorecomplexthanthatofFDEs.Inpa
4、rticular,func-tionaldifferentialequationsofneutraltypecanbetransformedintoFDFEs.Thenumericalstabilityanalysisofneutralfunctionaldifferentialequationshasbeenstudiedextensivelyinrecentyears.AsforthesystemsofFDFEs,theasymptoticstabilityofnumericalmethodsforlinearFDFEshasbeendiscusse
5、dbyseveralauthors.However,littleattentionhasbeenfocusedonthenonlin-earsystemsofFDFEs.Forthesereasons,thepresentpaperisdevotedtothestabilityanalysisofnumericalmethodsfornonlinearFDFEs.Themainresultsobtainedareasfollows.(1)One-legθ−methodsareadaptedforsolvingaclassofnonlinearFDFE
